Giving Sight Day
Every year since 2017 around the first weekend in October the entire team at Insight Eyecare provides free eye exams and free eye glasses to our community.
This year 2025 Insight eyecare performed over 55 eye exams and gave over 70 pairs of glasses to those in need. This day is celebrated among the Insight Eyecare team who comes in volunteering their time without pay to serve our community.
Every year this event brings numerous stories about patients who could not function to work without glasses but could not afford them. During this event we diagnose patients with systemic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure by what we find at their eye exam.
The Insight Eyecare team diagnosed and treated eye diseases such as glaucoma, myopia, astigmatism, cataracts, and macular degeneration. This year Insight Eyecare teamed up with the doctors at Oklahoma Medical Eye Group (OMEG) where Insight Eyecare filled the glasses prescriptions for all OMEG’s giving sight exams. Insight Eyecare Jenks even had some long time industry friends join to help us see more patients!
This day is all about helping Oklahoman’s in need of eyecare. Numerous of our patients we helped that day could not legally drive without glasses to make their vision clearer. The next Giving Sight Day will be October 3rd, 2026 at 8:30AM at both locations. Please watch our emails, we will be adding a new back to school giving sight day for kids only in July 2026.
